Eight hundred dollars? Yes, please. Original poems, essays, and works of fiction are now being accepted for the Bruner writing competition. A first-place award of $200 is available in each of four categories. The deadline for submissions is Friday, March 6th. Please see your current English teacher for more information or to request a review of your completed work before submission.

Are you fluent in two or more languages? Take the Seal of Biliteracy test and get recognized for your skills! Depending on your test results, you could earn credit at the high school and college levels. Employers will see this honor on your transcript which will also unlock further opportunities! The majorettes will be selling donuts tomorrow at the school entrance.  $3 each or 2 for $5.  The majorettes appreciate the support!

Thank you to all that have donated to our polar plunge team!  We have raised $2,500 and hope to hit our goal of $5,000 by this Sunday!  Currently Galesburg High School is beating us. WE CAN NOT LET THAT HAPPEN so keep those donations coming!! Titan Nation has won most money raised by a school for 10 plus years!  We need to keep our title.  Congratulations to Javan John who has raised the most money as a student with $250 and Mrs. Ankle who has raised the most money as a staff member with $335.  Great work Titan Nation!

Come to the Student Lounge during Advisory or After-School for homework help at Study Table. After-School Fitness Club will be in the weight room today until 5 p.m. Art Club will meet today after school in Ms. Minett’s room! D&D Club and Cooking and Sewing Club will not meet today after school; see you next week! If you would like to know more about what clubs and programs are available before or after school, please talk to any club supervisor or Ms. Glisan! 

Sadies tickets are now on sale, and will be available until February 27.  The cost is $5 in advance or $10 at the door. If you are planning to bring a guest who doesn’t attend MRHS, don’t forget to get the approval form from the office. Tickets can be purchased before school, during advisory, or from Mrs. Lewis in the LMC anytime except 4th period.
