Class Rank

Each year, during the fall semester, counselors meet with all MRHS students to choose classes for the following school year. This ensures that students' existing credits are checked, and pending graduation requirements are factored into their plans. This also helps students adapt their plans to any new college and career goals. Students are given a copy of their course requests each year.

Please give serious attention to the course selection process. Monmouth-Roseville High School builds its master schedule based on student class requests; the master schedule is then used to determine staffing needs for the entire school year.

Students may see their counselor regarding schedule changes during the first five

(5) days of each semester. Changes in courses may be honored if the request is related to:

Graduation requirements

First semester failures

Failed prerequisite courses

Computer errors

College entrance requirements.

Dropping a course after the first five (5) days of a semester will result in a grade of

"F" and factor as such for GPA purposes on the student's transcript. The drop must be approved by administration and/or counselor.
